OVERCOMING IN THE NATURAL

The only things that turned my life right  side up was the fear of going to hell and losing the love and respect of my children. That’s the beginning of overcoming in the natural for most, that driving force that propels us to action. Let’s  continue on concerning THE NATURAL PROCESS  of OVERCOMING WHAT’S OVERCOME YOU. First and foremost it’s very difficult to stop doing something you’re not in position to stop doing, whether it’s drugs, alcohol, dysfunctional parenting, adultery, fornication, gambling, or whatever. Therefore obviously we also have to come to a MADE UP MIND in the natural process just as in the spiritual.

For me I was so bound up with so many different issues that the thought of losing my very prosperous business that allowed me the opportunity to take care of my family  didn’t even come into play. Obviously I had to evict every negative thought, desire, and habit. I had to realize I wasn’t who I used to be and that I was no longer in control.

I knew that God was always doing his part and I needed to do my part. Although I’m talking fighting in natural I had to follow the instructions of  the spiritual in order to do the natural because that’s the way it works. I had to work James 4:6-8 and James 1:12-16 which were “the fight of my life for my very life.”  Romans 7:15  was a part of my everyday understanding of “I don’t understand what’s going on and I want out because I will not be controlled by the enemy.”  I had to “WORK” Romans 8:5 which does not just happen because you pray. I HAD TO WORK MY IN  MIND AGAINST EVERY EVIL Thought/Habit 2 Corinthians 10:3-6.

Every, no I mean every, Yea and Nay of the instructions of God had to be worked on in my mind through the natural as well. Can I just stop and tell you what happened in myprocess? I got “MAD AT THE DEVIL” I looked at my kids, reputation, my whole life, and went all the way off. I went running to Jesus for real because I knew I was defeated and because I understood He came for people just like me. Luke 4:18,19.

I’m reminded of the song by Charles Jenkins “This Means War” because there is a spiritual war going on that’s natural as well as spiritual. Please understand that  Ephesians 6:10-18 is truly stating  that we’re fighting against the spiritual world. Yet let’s not forget that the devil uses every evil he can to keep us so busy focusing on the flash and blood roadblocks that  we can’t even focus on the spiritual battles.

Let me just state for the record that not only did I have a anointed Man of God in my life (Pastor) but also a anointed mentor. Everyday I’d talk to one or both.  I was trying to cut the enemy off at every point.
